We have hundreds of hill lochs surrounding us and many can be fished fairly easily for hard fighting wild Brown Trout. We also have a string of 3 lochs locally that hold Pike, Perch and Roach.

The hundreds of miles of local coastline can reward anglers with many species including Pollock, Cod, Coalfish, Ling, Rays, Dogfish, Conger, Common Skate, Sea Trout, Mackerel, Bass, Turbot and many more.

When you visit us at the shop in Lochgilphead tell us what species you are looking to target and we will do our very best to put you to the correct location.

Loch Awe

Loch Awe is 27 miles long, up to a mile wide and has depths of more than 300ft in places. Set in spectacular Argyll scenery the loch attracts many visiting anglers throughout the year for both the wild brown trout, arctic charr and coarse fishing. In recent years the loch has become something of an attraction for anglers pursuing the famous large predatory ferox trout and sizeable pike.
