Extremely good service from Fyne Tackle and good value Fly rod. Verified Purchase

Rod is well made with good finish. I put it through it's paces using different density fly lines and it threw a decent line, without being overstretched. Very happy with this rod and for the cost, it's a great value rod. Will pack away easily in my suitcase for the next Canada trip ( They generally don't rent out fly gear )

Excellent lightweight rod - bought as a spare, but deserving of regular use. #4 D Fly by Sierra.

There is nothing to dislike about this rod - it is really lightweight, very well put together, is medium fast, and allows for really delicate presentation, with plenty in reserve for bigger fish. A genuine bargain at this price!

  • Good friendly advice

    For nearly twenty years we have been buying modest amounts of fishing gear and baits from Fyne Tackle and we always get some good friendly advice of what to use and where to go for both fresh and salt water fishing. Good stuff.

    A nice range of outdoor and wet weather clothing - not that we need it too often in Scotland ;) makes MacGilp's a regular holiday stop.
