Bumbles
Bumbles are among the most celebrated and effective wet fly patterns in the Irish and Scottish tradition. Originally developed by T.C. Kingsmill Moore, these palmered, hackled flies have accounted for wild brown trout and sea trout on some of the finest loughs and lochs in the British Isles for decades.
- Claret Bumble — the classic, deadly in a wave on any lough or loch
- Golden Olive Bumble — superb in coloured water and on dull days
- Sooty Olive Bumble — a go-to pattern for wild brown trout
- Green Peter Bumble — essential during the sedge hatch
Fish them on the top dropper in a team of three for classic loch-style drifting, or on the point in a river. Few flies move fish like a well-fished Bumble.
