Blobs & FABs
Blobs and FABs (Foam Arsed Blobs) are the most controversial — and most effective — attractor patterns in modern stillwater fly fishing. Banned on some waters, essential on others, these highly visible, mobile flies trigger aggressive takes from trout that have ignored everything else.
- Classic Blobs — in chartreuse, orange, pink, white and black
- FABs (Foam Arsed Blobs) — with a buoyant foam tail for added movement and lift
- UV & glow Blobs — maximum visibility in coloured or deep water
- Mini Blobs — smaller versions for pressured fish or calmer conditions
Fish them on a fast-sinking line with a short leader and a quick, aggressive retrieve. They're particularly deadly in the early season when trout are looking for a big, easy meal.
