CDC for dry flies and emergers

CDC, or Cul de Canard, feathers come from around the preen gland of waterfowl. Their delicate fibres are useful for creating light wings and collars, adding subtle movement and a natural-looking silhouette to small fly patterns.

At the vice, use a sparse dressing when you want a delicate profile, or combine the fibres with other materials to build your preferred emerger pattern.
