The Loop Synchro uses Loop's own SDS (Synchro Dynamic System) copolymer formula — a step up from standard nylon mono in every measurable way. The strength-to-diameter ratio is tight, the knot strength is reliable, and the supple nature of the copolymer means it turns over cleanly whether you're fishing a size 18 dry on a flat pool or swinging a heavy nymph through fast water.

It handles abrasion well, which matters on rocky Scottish rivers where tippet regularly contacts boulders and gravel. And the shock absorption is noticeable when a trout or sea trout hits hard — less crack-offs, more fish landed.
