Renomed scissors are made the way fly tying tools should be made — by hand, to a standard that most manufacturers stopped bothering with years ago. Every pair is individually polished, tempered and sharpened in Slovenia, and hand bent rather than forged, which means less material waste and a more consistent finish across the blade.

The FS1 Small is the precision tool in the Renomed range — a 9cm scissor with a 1.5cm straight blade and fine points, designed for the detailed work where control matters more than size. Finishing thread heads on small dries, trimming hackle fibres, cutting silk close to the hook eye — the short blade gives you the accuracy to work right where you need to without cutting anything you didn't intend to.

Made from medical grade stainless steel throughout, these scissors hold their edge far longer than cheaper alternatives and are a genuine lifetime purchase if looked after.
