Renomed scissors are made the way fly tying tools should be made — by hand, to a standard that most manufacturers stopped bothering with years ago. Every pair is individually polished, tempered and sharpened in Slovenia, and hand bent rather than forged, which means less material waste and a more consistent finish across the blade.

The FS3 Medium is the workhorse of the Renomed range — an 11cm scissor with a 2cm straight blade and fine points that handles the full range of mid-size fly tying tasks. Cutting deer hair, trimming dubbing, snipping thread close to the head — it does all of it cleanly and without the blade creeping or the points misaligning over time.

Made from medical grade stainless steel throughout, these scissors hold their edge far longer than cheaper alternatives and are a genuine lifetime purchase if looked after.
